Wait, what? Yeah, he went to the Grey Havens. But he did grace us with his presence recently, albeit briefly, to confirm the rumor about the Titans’ light blue (Dennis Blue? Columbia Blue?) pants. I’m sitting here hoping that the blue in the uniform only looks so pale because the color has not been reproduced correctly (or maybe it’s my monitor). They look pale even for Dennis Blue.As for the helmet, I don’t mind the white shell. Blue would be fine, but the white shell looks sharp too. This is Columbia Blue, not Dennis Blue. Completely different. Other then that….it’s not THAT bad but as the OP said, very generic. 8,685 Share this post You sound like our dearly departed friend, Pantone. This is Columbia Blue, not Dennis Blue. Completely different. Actually, that’s not quite correct. This stems from the discovery that North Carolina used both PMS 291 and PMS 284.When it was suggested that, realistically, only one could really be called Carolina Blue, Pantone offered that people could call the other what ever they liked. In honour of the peasant from Monty Pyton and the Holy Grail, aka Monty Python ik den Holi Grailen, I tendered the name Dennis.”But I didn’t know you were called Dennis”.So Dennis Blue is PMS 284. Or 291. Whichever you call Carolina Blue, it’s the other one. winghaz Link to post 22,645 Mingjai 2,943 Members 2,008 posts 0 Followers 0 Location:Toronto area, Canada fonz Next 0 1 4,348 posts Share on other sites Location:Republic of Texas Share this post leopard88 five boroughs, one City. That’s the only thing that could save this uniform. Also, what’s with the new-school Bronco stripes on the jersey mixed with the decidedly old-school helmet? Neither one is a problem individually, but… Followers 0 10,243 posts Sort of looks like Rhode Island’s unis. 8 1 andrewharrington Share this post Someday… 0 0 11,800 posts Location:Georgia 888 Page 1 of 2   Posted August 26, 2006 528 posts Share this post Share this post 0 Members leaderslead Members SportsLogos.Net Share on other sites 0 Members What if there were no hypothetical questions? That helmet is dreadful. Light blue on a white shell has washout written all over it. Not crazy about the font, either. What’s wrong with a nice Columbia Blue shell and a slightly more stylish lettermark? The uniforms themselves are not bad other than the helmet. I can’t say I know a great deal about Carolina’s PMS Blue, so I will take your word for it.But I’m sure our initial discussion was 284 v 291, as they were the two Dennis Blue’s I made up in Illustrator at the time. I do, however, really like the helmetKind’ve reminds me of the old UNC jerseys of the Julius Peppers, Ronald Curry era Location:CLE · IND · PDX yh 1 rmered andrewharrington Go To Topic Listing SportsmanTO 1 Share this post Posted August 26, 2006 Share this post New Columbia Football Uniformslast_img
